Counselling at Little Sanctuary
Support Services
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, emotionally draining, or stuck in patterns that are difficult to change- despite your best efforts. Your child may be navigating the impact of past experiences, struggling in relationships, facing challenges, or feeling unsure of where to turn next. At The Little Sanctuary Support Services, counselling provides a safe and supportive space where you do not have to face these challenges alone.
Our counselling approach is warm, person-centred, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirming.
We believe every individual has unique strengths, experiences, and goals, and we work collaboratively to create a therapeutic experience that feels safe, respectful, and meaningful. Our focus is on building strong, trusting relationships where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.
We draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
These approaches are tailored to each person’s needs, helping clients develop practical strategies, gain insight, build resilience, and create positive, lasting change.
The Little Sanctuary Support Services offers counselling for children. young people, adults, and families.
We understand that seeking support can feel daunting which is why we prioritise creating a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace.
We have a particular passion for supporting children and young people through interest-led approaches that honour their strengths, communication styles, and individual ways of engaging with the world.
We also value working closely with parents and caregivers, empowering families with practical tools and strategies to support children’s development, wellbeing, and participation across home, childcare, kindergarten, school, and community settings.
Counselling support is available for a range of concerns including:
